The Xbox Series X and Series S hits stores in just over two weeks and now you can see what its like booting it up.
Microsoft released a 14 minute video on YouTube walking through the next-gen console experience. The video includes how to access your games, how those games will look and play, and how the Xbox app keeps you connected with friends. While the video features going through the Series X, the video mentions the experience will be the same for the Series S.
Xbox Principal Program Manager Harrison Hoffman explains the team spent a lot of time over the last year simplifying and optimizing the home experience. The goal was to make it more accessible for those new to the Xbox consoles and more streamlined for those wanting the next-gen experience.
One new content exclusive for the next-gen hardware is dynamic backgrounds. Users can choose the color of the background and Hoffman added they hope to add more in the future.
This walk through video does confirm it won’t keep your Mountain Dew cold like the Xbox Series X fridge Snoop Dogg received, but it will give you an experience not seen on previous consoles. Those include Smart Delivery, Quick Resume, Dynamic Latency Input (DLI), and more.
Those looking forward to the next-gen consoles from Microsoft won’t have to wait much longer. The Xbox Series X and Series S launch worldwide on November 10.
