PlayStation Now adds four new titles tomorrow and this month includes a mix of genres. Here is what you can expect to dive into.
PlayStation Now Additions for April
Outer Wilds
Outer Wilds sees you try to uncover the secrets of this open world adventure in a solar system trapped in a time loop. Begin your adventure as a new recruit of Outer Wilds Ventures, a space program searching for answers. Players will find the game packed with hidden locations and hazardous environments looking to stop your journey. Try to solve the puzzles to end the time loop.
WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship
Put on your racing helmet and tackle the off-road courses in this racing simulator. Whether you play career mode or just compete against others, this title celebrates the 50th anniversary of the racing competition. The game allows you to relive nearly 20 events that shaped the history of the Championship as well as historic rallies. Those needing to scratch their racing itch will be sure to have plenty to do in this title.
Journey to the Savage Planet
This title always intrigued me and I expect it might intrigue you too. Players can explore this vibrant and chaotic world solo or with friends online in this sci-fi adventure. The goal, find out if the savage planet is habitable for humans. Just try your best to survive, OK?
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood
Let’s get this out of the way. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood was not received well. The game garnered a 53 on Opencritic. So don’t go in expecting greatness in this game. However, can you argue with trying it out on the service? I can’t. This action RPG based on the tabletop roleplaying game of the same name sees you play as Cahal. He sets out on a path of redemption and blood that ends up playing a critical role in a war. Based on player reviews, your miles may vary with this one. But, even for a short time, tearing people apart as a werewolf sounds like a decent time well spent.
Closing Thoughts
It’s curious to see none of these titles received a timed addition. With the upcoming PlayStation Plus rebrand coming in June that brings the PlayStation Now name to an end, I wonder if this is a glimpse to some of the offerings. Not the greatest of months but outside of Werewolf, players receive three well liked titles. Outer Wilds garnered critical acclaim and several Game of the Year awards. So if you had to only choose one title, I’d highly recommend that one.
Out of the three titles I’ve played and owned the wrc game and it’s pretty fun. I’m terrible at it but I enjoy it. I’ve also heard good things about werewolf but I haven’t played it for myself to give a opinion.
I definitely plan to check out Outer Wilds and Werewolf. Even if it’s not to finish it, I wouldn’t mind slashing my way through enemies for a bit.
